Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making our website and services accessible to everyone.

Our Commitment to Accessibility
UK Debt Centre (operated by My Debt Help Ltd) is committed to ensuring that our website and services are accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to access information about debt solutions and reach the help they need, regardless of ability.
We actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website, and we welcome feedback from our users to help us improve.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
While we strive for full compliance, we recognise that accessibility is an ongoing effort and we are continually working to improve. Some areas of our website may not yet fully meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
Measures We Have Taken
To support accessibility, we have taken the following steps:
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading structures, landmarks, and semantic elements to help screen readers and assistive technologies navigate our content.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements on our website can be accessed and operated using a keyboard alone.
- Colour contrast: We have designed our website with sufficient colour contrast ratios to ensure text is readable for people with low vision or colour deficiencies.
- Alternative text: Images on our website include descriptive alternative text so that their content is available to screen reader users.
- Responsive design: Our website is designed to work across a wide range of devices and screen sizes, and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Form labels: All form fields include clear, associated labels to help users understand what information is required.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for interactive elements to support keyboard navigation.
- Skip links: A skip-to-content link is provided to allow keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation elements.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some parts of our website may have accessibility limitations. Known issues include:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers. If you need the information in an alternative format, please contact us.
- Some third-party content embedded on our website (such as social media feeds or videos) may not fully meet accessibility standards, as we do not control those platforms.
- Our online calculator and enquiry form are continually being improved for accessibility. If you experience any difficulty using them, please call us and we will take your details over the phone instead.
We are actively working to address these issues and improve the overall accessibility of our website.

We can also provide information in alternative formats, including large print, upon request.
